It is used in high-end consumer items as it is valued for its dense grain, attractive colour, minimal shrinkage, and acceptance of different finishes. Unlike other woods that are cut down for the sole purpose of producing consumer items, the Hevea wood used in the Occasion range is only cut down after the tree completes its latex producing cycle and dies naturally. It is therefore eco-friendly - we are now using what was previously going as waste.
