Did you know?
In July 2001, an Australian Lawyer named John Keogh filed a patent for a "circular transportation facilitation device", as part of a protest against a new simplified patent system. Unlikely as it may seem, he appears to be the only person to have any claim to inventing the wheel. The patent application was rejected. As far as historians can tell, the wheel was probably invented in Mesopotamia in the fifth millenium BC.
