This gift box enables the recipient to discover the history behind their surname and delve further into their family tree.

Once they have registered their gift they will be sent their surname history printed on an illustrative certificate. This information is provided by a team of heraldic and genealogical researchers who have researched more than 80,000 different names.

There is also a book enclosed inside the gift box called ‘The Best Beginners Guide to Tracing Your Family History’ which may help them uncover the origin of their family. There is also a blank family tree enclosed so they can record the forgotten names that they discover.

Can I receive the history behind any surname I choose or does it have to be my own?
No, it doesn’t have to be your own. You are free to provide any surname you wish.

What if there isn’t any history behind the name?
As mentioned, our team has researched more than 80,000 different surnames and pride themselves on the fact that they have always been able to provide a detailed history on every name that they have been given. It is therefore highly unlikely that they will not be able to provide the history behind your chosen surname.

How long does it take to receive my surname history certificate?
This depends on how you choose to register. If you register online then you will receive your surname history certificate within 10 working days. If you fill out and return your registration form and send this by post then this period of time is slightly increased to 28 days from when the form is received by Gift Republic.

How long do I have to register my gift?
Your gift code expires 12 months after the date of purchase so you have 12 months in which to register your gift.
